Rochelle O’Toole, the marketing manager that successfully increased the profile of Okells beers and the Isle of Man with a new website, attendance at regional CAMRA beer festivals, Cyclops tasting notes and even Dr Okells IPA in the Strangers Bar at the Houses of Parliament, will leave the brewery on Friday 11th July 2008.
She has promised to remain a real ale ambassador!

Last night, the branch presented the delighted landlord Neil at the Whitehouse in Peel (voted #1) with a framed certificate. Neil recalled an early beer festival with a marquee in the car park and stillage in the outbuildings – he was up all night in a force 10 storm to keep hitting the tent pegs back into the ground and needed a beer by daylight! Undaunted, he recently celebrated a 1000 real ales landmark in March 2008.
A photographer from Isle of Man Newspapers and a reporter from the Peel City Guardian attended the event so look out for more details in the local media.
