Regional Meeting – Prospect (Douglas)

The Isle of Man branch will host the annual regional branch meeting on Saturday 19th May from 12:30pm to approximately 4:00pm at the Prospect with entry limited to CAMRA members and guests.  We are expecting 20+ representatives from other regional branches, some partners and CAMRA CEO Mike Benner.

There will also be a social on Friday evening starting at the Rovers Return, progressing to the quayside and probably Prospect and Woodbourne.

1st Annual Beer Festival – Isle of Man

Isle of Man Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) welcome you to the 1st “Real Ale of Man” Beer Festival.

Over 60 Real Ales plus Ciders and Perries from “The Seven Kingdoms of Mann”.  Yes, we’re planning beers from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as well as our own local brews and some from the Kingdoms of Neptune and Heaven.

Entry will be free to CAMRA members (with valid membership card) and £3 per session for non-members.  Anyone joining CAMRA at the festival will have their £3 for that session refunded.  Commemorative glasses will be available on the door for £2.  Though they are refundable when you leave.

The Thursday session is from 1600hrs to 2300hrs and is a corporate, trade and CAMRA members preview night.  That will include a “meet the brewers” feature with a Q and A session.

Friday and Saturday sessions will be from 1200hrs to 1530hrs and from 1630hrs to 2300hrs.  The evening/night sessions will have some live music from great local bands.

Sunday 15th January 2012 from 4pm at the HQ bar just off Douglas Promenade at the Imperial Hotel.

Beer Festival: Bay Hotel, Port Erin

There is a Bushys beer festival from Halloween weekend to Bonfire weekend at the Bay Hotel in Port Erin with an interesting mix of a couple of dozen different ales from across Britain, as well as the Bushy’s range.

Good Beer Guide presentations

Looking forward to the presentation at the Whitehouse in Peel tonight. 20 consecutive appearances in the Good Beer Guide. 7.30 for 8 pm presentation. Sandwiches also served.

 

Congratulations also to the Sulby Glen also celebrating 20 consecutive appearances. Presentation 3pm Saturday afternoon.

The Sulby Glen Hotel will be hosting a cider festival with ciders from the Isle of Man, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Devon , Somerset and many many more.

A German Oktoberfest menu will be available on the Saturday 17th October evening.
