My father lived in Ballakermeen and died there in 1978. I am trying to find out as much information about him as possible. His name was John Grady aka Jack Grady and lived at 34 Ballakermeen Drive. I am hoping to make a trip to the Isle of Man soon. I was wondering if anyone could tell me any of the local pubs in that area where he might have drank and if any of the regulars remember him.
Thank you in anticipation.

The beer.com website address was sold in 1999 for $80,000 and was sold a few months later to InterBrew for $7,000,000. A look at the website and you wonder when they lost interest!

Any thoughts on a joint application to the Isle of Man Government Visitor Facility Improvement Fund?
How about some spare space at MNH Rushen Abbey and an export led ”Biere de Abbaye”??
All comments welcome….

Pub websites are helpful to non-local members and visitors. The most popular pub websites on the Isle of Man CAMRA website are:
The Sidings with 125 clicks
The Waterfall with 109 clicks
Falcons Nest Hotel with 85 clicks
The Hop Garden with 74 clicks
Sulby Glen Hotel with 66 clicks
If only more pubs had websites though!

Some branches have negotiated a real ale discount with a CAMRA membership card on off-peak nights (from Sunday to Thursday) with local brewers and national pub chains such as Wetherspoons.
Do you think it would be popular in the Isle of Man?
